CARTRIDGE Mechanical SEALS
A Cartridge seal is an assembled mechanical seal that is easily installed and reduces installation time.
Many standard configurations are available for applications. These are available according to known engineering designs with variations of sealing faces and elastomer specifications.
Sizes are typically available with shaft diameter from 24mm to greater than 172mm (7”).
Correct specification of sealing faces is essential for performance. Faces are available as Carbon, Silicon Carbide, Sintered Silicon Carbide and Tungsten Carbide.
O-rings in seals must be specified correctly and are available as EPDM, Fluoroelastomer (Viton or Aflas) or Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM).
Metal parts such as Glands and Sleeves are available in a range of suitable metals.

Nexus are able to refurbish most seal brands.
Existing seals are assessed repair options are considered.
Hardware kits or repair kits can be provided separately or complete refurbished and pressure tested seals.
